Our client is a leading and independent consulting and analysis company in the energy sector. It supports energy suppliers and municipal utilities as well as industrial and commercial companies with well-founded analyses in energy procurement. The company is currently experiencing strong growth.
The tasks
- You will support our team in the ongoing analysis of the energy markets, with a focus on fundamental and technical analysis but also fundamental analysis
- You understand the energy market and know the needs of our customers.
- You are prepared to think outside the box and uncover exciting topics in the energy market
- Exchange trading is not new territory for you and you have experience in dealing with energy contracts on the spot and futures market
- You will also be involved in supporting our client mandates
- You will form your own market opinion, which you will discuss internally and represent externally
- You will also support our team in consulting projects with a focus on energy trading
Your qualifications
- You have a degree in energy economics or economics with a focus on energy economics and have completed university/university of applied sciences
- Professional experience in the energy sector (energy supply company / industry) is desirable, newcomers will have a steep learning curve
- You have a quick grasp of things, an affinity for numbers and mathematical relationships
- You are confident in dealing with IT systems and can quickly familiarize yourself with new IT environments. Programming skills are not required, but knowledge of VBA/Python is very helpful
- You already have experience in technical analysis, can create professional analyses and are able to formulate the complex interrelationships of the energy market and write comprehensible analysis texts
- Certification as a cert. TEMA or CFTe as well as MFTA is desirable but not mandatory
- Very good German language skills are required when preparing customer presentations or market reports. Fluency in English is also essential in the commodity exchange environment
