Automation technician for process control systems in the energy/power plant sector (m/f/d)

Your tasks
- Taking over the administrator function of the process control systems for all power plant sites
- Administration, application support and configuration of the networks as well as the MS client/server architecture and operation of the power plant’s higher-level process control systems
- Ensuring the secure and functional operating status of all control technology systems at all power plant sites in accordance with Kritis specifications, the IT Security Act and in consideration of economic efficiency
- Carrying out configuration and optimization work during operation
- Ensuring fast and successful fault clearance in the event of system failures due to or involving the I&C systems and taking economic efficiency into account
- Responsible for asset and lifecycle management of the I&C components
- Developing proposals for consistent standardization of automation systems and programs
- Taking on control technology projects in the role of sub-project manager
- Planning and implementing projects and measures in accordance with legal, technical and operational rules and regulations
- Carrying out the duty of care and supervision for external project employees who are subordinate in individual cases
- Preparing and conducting training courses for control room personnel on the control technology and visualization system for all sites and training all power plant employees in relation to critical infrastructure and how to handle it
Your qualifications
- Successfully completed technician for automation technology/electrical engineering (m/f/d) or Bachelor’s degree in the field of electrical engineering, information technology or comparable as well as several years of professional experience (2 – 6 years)
- Experience and sound knowledge of process control systems from the process industry, ideally in the energy sector (e.g. Siemens T3000, PCS7, S7)
- Ideally expertise in IT OT administration
- Knowledge of the IT Security Act 2.0 and the Kritis Regulation as well as the DIN ISO standards 27001, 27002, TRBS 1115
- Experience with legal regulations and technical regulations as well as common operating systems and MS Office
- Willingness to work in the on-call duty
- Ability to work under pressure, personal responsibility and results-oriented action are an advantage
- Communication and analytical skills are desirable
