As the Team Leader, Billing Management (m/f/d), you and your team will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, accurate, and legally compliant billing of our utility services in the areas of electricity, gas, water, heat, and wastewater.

You will shape the further development of our billing landscape within the SAP S/4HANA Utilities environment and actively drive the digitization and automation of key processes. In doing so, you’ll work closely with internal departments, market partners, and service providers, making a significant contribution to efficient workflows and our customers’ trust in SWM.

What it’s all about...

• Providing professional and disciplinary leadership and fostering the professional development of a team of 13 employees
• Responsibility for ensuring accurate, timely, and legally compliant billing in the electricity, gas, water, heating, and wastewater sectors
• Designing and optimizing billing processes to increase the level of automation and sustainably improve relevant key performance indicators
• Responsibility for the further development of tariff, billing, and process structures, taking into account legal, regulatory, and market-role-specific requirements
• Ensuring high data and billing quality by ensuring the billability of meter readings and energy volumes, as well as through close collaboration with relevant interfaces
• Further development of the service offering in cooperation with internal and external partners, as well as tapping into new potential in the shared services environment
• Managing external service providers and further developing collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure high quality standards

What we’re looking for...

• A successfully completed college degree, preferably in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
• Several years of leadership experience in billing management, preferably in the context of mass processes in the energy industry or comparable process landscapes
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, as well as experience in managing and further developing processes using relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills combined with an appreciative, motivating, and goal-oriented approach to managing employees
• An independent, structured, and results-oriented approach to work, along with strong decision-making and implementation skills
• A solid understanding of digital business processes, as well as experience in the automation, digitization, and continuous optimization of process landscapes
