As a business development or sales professional, you will help promising European start-ups to achieve a commercial breakthrough in the DACH region, from lead to closing on key strategic projects. In addition, you will actively drive the development of business relationships and new business in our strategic value chains around electrical storage or solar PV.

Are you entrepreneurially driven, want to work with both international start-up teams and established companies and engage with new business models and products? If your answer is yes, as a Business Development Manager we offer you the opportunity to turn the Green Deal into reality with your start-ups and key accounts.

For this challenge, we are looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) as a member of the German and European sales team.

Your future activities as Business Development Manager (m/f/d) will include
  • Business development for selected European start-ups in the DACH region
  • Recognize and jointly leverage sales potential (> 1 million) with target customers
  • Opening up new channels of communication and creating business opportunities for start-ups in the InnoEnergy Ökosystem
  • Further development of the ecosystem in one of the strategic value chains and maintenance of relationships
  • Internal and external stakeholder management across all hierarchies
  • Collaborating closely with the Investment & Asset Management team and the domain experts in the European InnoEnergy network
For this exciting and varied challenge, the candidate is expected to have the following professional and personal qualities:

Your qualification: "Broad market understanding in the energy sector"

  • Multiple years of experience in business development or sales of products and services in the energy market or in energy-related areas of industry
  • In-depth understanding of the energy storage or solar PV markets (market participants, market development, technology, business models, value chains, regulation)
  • Willingness and ability to familiarize yourself with new topics in the energy and mobility sector
  • Active network with relevant decision-makers from the industry
  • Proven success in key account management (large cap, mid cap)
  • Familiar with modern sales tools and their practical application

 Your profile: "Entrepreneurially driven, paired with sales strength"

  • Confident appearance at all hierarchical levels
  • Skillful negotiator who can win others over to his goals
  • Intercultural competence in cooperation at European level
  • Willingness to travel internationally and nationally (predominantly EU)
  • Business fluent in German
  • Business fluent in English
