Our team works in alternating working groups that complement and support each other. We are both lone fighters and team players.
What does the team actively contribute to with its work?
The team implements the necessary laws, regulations and standards for the safe operation of an electricity distribution grid on site in accordance with the specifications. Not only in its own network, but also as a service on behalf of third parties. We set up the work sites for work on the electrical systems by third parties. We also plan and carry out maintenance and repair work on switchgear and equipment in the low, medium and high-voltage grid.
What makes the team special?
Our team supervises and supports the entire process of maintenance, renewal and new construction on site, from the 220 kV level to the 0.4 kV house connection. Our work is characterized by a high degree of independence, but teamwork is also required. Our customers are our focus and all our actions follow strict safety standards.

Your tasks
- As a cable measurement engineer, you will be responsible for cable fault location in the high, medium and low-voltage grid of enercity Netz GmbH, as well as in the power supply grid of third parties if commissioned to do so.
- You will be actively involved in areas such as the independent location of cable faults, determining route and cable positions, reading cables at all voltage levels and testing and diagnosing cable systems.
- You will also be responsible for testing and diagnosing cable systems in the enercity Netz GmbH electricity network and in the electricity supply network of third parties if commissioned to do so.
- You will prepare reports with recommendations for cable renewal and develop and implement corresponding specifications. You will also develop measurement and diagnostic strategies to optimize the renewal strategy.
- Carrying out switching operations in the 20kV / 10kV medium-voltage network of enercity Netz GmbH, as well as in the power supply network of third parties if commissioned to do so, rounds off your job profile.
Your qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering (FH), a bachelor’s degree or similar qualifications.
- You already have experience in the operation of power supply networks and have a sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations. You also have knowledge of cable measurement technology.
- Your personality is characterized by reliability, the ability to work in a team, independence, responsible and safety-oriented work, as well as a high degree of flexibility, customer-oriented appearance and actions and a high degree of willingness to learn.
- On-call duty is not an obstacle for you.
- You have a class B and C1 driving license.
