Conducting design calculations for thermal-hydraulic fuel assembly and core design for boiling water and pressurized water reactors Carrying out safety analyses, especially of core transients, using scientific and technical calculation programs Preparation of quality-assured licensing documents Further development of analysis methods and computer programs Conducting studies and benchmarks on issues relating to reactor operation, program validation and fuel element development Representation of the specialist area in relation to customers, authorities and experts You Apply scientific and technical calculation programs (RELAP, RAMONA, COBRA, ARCADIA etc.). Document and evaluate the results of your work. Create approval documents for the design and use of fuel elements on behalf of customers. Represent your work results and the specialist area to customers, authorities and experts. Work closely with other specialist disciplines in fuel assembly design (neutron physics design and mechanical design).
Completed degree in nuclear engineering, physics or a comparable field of study Knowledge in the fields of reactor physics and fluid mechanics as well as know-how in the application of complex technical-scientific calculation programs is an advantage Experience in boiling water reactor technology desirable Business fluent in English
