Consultant (f/m/d) Circular economy – focus: electrical appliances and batteries

Your tasks
- Specialist work on the topics of electrical appliances and batteries as well as support and management of the associated project work
- Technical and political evaluation of national and European legislation on product responsibility for electrical appliances and batteries and their implementation strategies
- Supporting DUH’s legal procedures for the return of old electrical appliances to retailers
- Independent implementation of the nationwide cell phone collection project “Cell Phones for the Environment”
- Writing statements and background papers
- Conception, planning and implementation of events and discussions with decision-makers and stakeholders in the field of circular economy
- Further development of topics and projects, including support with project acquisition
- Preparing and supporting press and public relations work in collaboration with our newsroom and the campaign team
Your qualifications
- Degree/training in environmental sciences, recycling management, technical environmental protection or comparable subject
- Ideally relevant professional experience
- Familiar with the principle of extended producer responsibility and the legal standards of the circular economy (e.g. Circular Economy Act, Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, Battery Act, WEEE Directive)
- Routine in writing target group-oriented texts
- Very good PC and English skills
- Team-oriented, committed, proactive and open-minded; experience in project work
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with specialist topics and positions
