Consultant for the development & implementation of educational programs in hydrogen & wind energy

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft ( www.fraunhofer.de ) is one of the world’s leading organizations for application-oriented research. 75 institutes develop pioneering technologies for our economy and society – more precisely: 32,000 people from technology, science, administration and IT. They know: Anyone who comes to Fraunhofer wants to and can make a difference. For themselves, for us and for the markets of today and tomorrow.
At the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES, the energy transition becomes reality every day. Our focus topics are: Offshore wind energy, hydrogen, testing infrastructure and digitalization. More than 400 employees – including around 100 students – from over 50 countries work at nine locations in scientific and non-scientific teams on the development of innovative methods to promote the expansion of wind energy systems. Do you want to shape the future sustainably with us?
You will strengthen the “Knowledge Transfer and University Cooperation” group at the Bremerhaven or Leuna site. The aim of the group is, among other things, to develop in-service training and further education programs on the topics of hydrogen and wind energy for different target groups that incorporate our current research knowledge. We therefore work closely with the Institute’s specialist scientific departments and external partners from science and industry. The team currently consists of three employees and several students. We support each other regardless of projects and backgrounds. Open exchange and cooperation, even across team boundaries and locations, are particularly important to us.
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft plays a central role in the innovation process with its focus on key technologies relevant to the future and on the exploitation of results in business and industry. As a trailblazer and driving force for innovative developments and scientific excellence, it helps to shape our society and our future.

Your tasks

  • You will work independently on various projects in all phases of the development and implementation of knowledge transfer measures. You will create and analyze market analyses, develop methodological, didactic and content-related concepts for the training courses and implement them. You will also integrate the training courses into learning management systems and develop evaluation concepts in order to revise the measures developed on the basis of a scientific analysis. In collaboration with our “Science Communication” group, you will also design the public relations work for our offerings, e.g. posts for business networks or press releases on projects.
  • During the piloting phase, you will coordinate the preparation, implementation, follow-up and evaluation of the measures and also monitor them from a quality assurance perspective. You will incorporate the knowledge gained into further development, whereby you will also present this and the experience gained during the piloting phase in publications, e.g. as conference contributions. You will also be responsible for preparing reports, managing operational processes and securing results. You will be in close contact with the partners and project managers throughout the project. If time permits, you can also be involved in new publicly funded project applications or in the acquisition of industrial projects.

Your qualifications

  • You have completed your diploma/master’s degree in engineering, a natural science or a comparable field. You have knowledge of renewable energies and are perhaps also familiar with hydrogen technologies. Have you already demonstrated your project management skills? Have you also come into contact with media didactics? Great, then you should definitely read on.
  • You are no stranger to didactics and you may also have gained some experience in the use of learning management systems. Business trips are a welcome change for you, as you are regularly (approx. once or twice a month) between the IWES locations, at project meetings or other events (e.g. networking events, trade fairs). To work on international projects, you should be able to communicate in English – both orally and in writing.

Benefits

  • You don’t want to stand still? A wide range of qualification measures awaits you with us. We give you the opportunity to try things out and support you along the way.
  • Our open institute culture, mutual tolerance and respect help to ensure that everyone feels at home with us right from the start.
