As a distribution grid operator in the regions of Heinsberg, Mönchengladbach, Viersen and parts of the Rhine district of Neuss, NEW Netz GmbH plays a key role in making the energy transition a success. We are responsible for the operation, planning, maintenance and expansion of the local and regional electricity, gas and drinking water distribution network as well as the operation of metering points. We are a team, supplying our region with energy safely and sustainably and enabling a comfortable life. A life with light, heat, water and mobility.
Your tasks
- The analysis of network economic relationships and the development of sustainable strategies within the area of responsibility for process, resource and cost optimization are part of your field of activity
- You carry out well-founded profitability analyses – whether for investments, strategic projects or operational measures – and thus provide a reliable basis for economic decisions
- You are responsible for KPI controlling for the division, keep an eye on our strategic and operational goals and derive concrete measures to achieve them
- You identify new growth opportunities, monitor market and industry trends as well as regulatory developments – such as legislative initiatives by the Federal Network Agency – and develop viable recommendations for action from these
- You contribute your expertise to forward-looking projects – especially with regard to digitalization and the challenges of the energy transition
- You prepare complex content in a way that is understandable and appropriate for the target audience – for management, municipal partners or other relevant stakeholders
Your qualifications
- You have successfully completed a degree in economics, industrial engineering, energy management or a comparable course of study
- Ideally, you already have some professional experience within the network industry
- You are confident and experienced with the MS Office package (Office 365)
- You are characterized by an independent and results-oriented way of working and you work trustfully with colleagues in a team
- Even in the face of effort or resistance, you implement things consistently and show a willingness for continuous personal development
- With your commercial expertise, you are strong on both levels: both in practical problem solving and in the strategic think tank
