We at emsys grid services do our best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energies into electricity grids and markets. With the FuturePowerFlow software solution for redispatch, we offer our customers - grid operators throughout Germany - a platform that makes the availability of renewable energies predictable for the planning process. Our employees leave a truly green footprint. Become part of our unique team and make your contribution to the energy transition!

Your tasks

You validate and analyze our grid forecasts to ensure the best possible quality of our forecasts. You will rely in part on existing quality monitoring infrastructure, but also contribute ideas for new analysis methods and support the further development of our analysis tools. If you identify weaknesses in your analyses, you will use your understanding of the process to find the causes and develop concepts to optimize our forecasting system. To do this, you will work closely with teams from software development and accompany the implementation from the idea to the roll-out on productive systems. Our system landscape offers many configuration options. You will be familiar with these options and adapt them as required. You exchange ideas with other experts to optimize forecast quality and further develop quality assurance processes, and continuously and actively drive these topics forward. You are the point of contact both internally and for our customers from the energy industry for questions about forecast quality. Instead of actively writing program code yourself, you would prefer to contribute to the content and conceptual development of our forecasting systems.

Your qualifications

With a degree in natural sciences or engineering, e.g. physics, environmental modeling, oceanography or geographic systems science, you have the best qualifications. Ideally, you have already gained experience with numerical prediction models and their validation. You are enthusiastic about scrutinizing complex processes, which you quickly understand thanks to your strong analytical skills. With your passion for data quality, you can evaluate the data sets of our prediction systems in a systematic and goal-oriented manner. You enjoy working in a team and are fluent in German.
