Ecosystem & Business Development Manager (m/f/d) of the Future Energy Lab

Your tasks

  • The position is advertised in the Digital Technologies and Start-up Ecosystem division, which is responsible for the “Future Energy Lab” project, among other things, and oversees all dena activities relating to data governance, data economy, data analysis for energy markets and grids, digitalization of energy infrastructures and data policy as well as (international) start-ups and innovations on these and other topics related to the energy transition.
  • As Ecosystem & Business Development Manager (m/f/d) in this area, you will be the driving force behind the successful further development of the Future Energy Lab as a networking and demonstration site as well as the Future Energy Lab Community. You will combine product development and sales activities with effective community management and impress with your open manner. In this way, you will expand the ecosystem and the dynamic network of different stakeholders and increase the value for everyone involved.
  • Your main tasks are
  • Identifying and approaching potential partners and members from relevant companies in order to continuously and purposefully expand the community and network and increase the visibility of the Future Energy Lab in the ecosystem
  • Planning and implementation of sales strategies and campaigns, including participation in external events and trade fairs
  • Joint development of new products from idea to market maturity
  • Taking responsibility for the Future Energy Lab’s sales activities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing members, especially the founding teams in the Future Energy Lab, so that they feel completely at ease
  • Creating a lively community in which members can network, exchange ideas and enter into collaborations
  • Organization and implementation of community events and meetups at the location
  • Continuously analyzing market trends, ecosystems, competitors and partners to identify growth and collaboration opportunities
  • The position is full-time and initially limited to two years with the option of permanent employment.

Your qualifications

  • Successfully completed university degree (ideally in business administration, innovation or technology management)
  • Professional experience in the management of labs, co-working spaces, innovative initiatives and programs, ideally in the energy context or start-up ecosystem
  • Hands-on mentality: you see business opportunities everywhere and approach them actively, independently and in a structured manner
  • Experience in building communities and further developing networks
  • Strong teamwork, communication and negotiation skills
  • High level of motivation, commitment, reliability and resilience
  • Contractual involvement, management and coordination of partners and service providers
  • Experience in moderating events is an advantage
  • Business fluent in German and English, other foreign languages are an advantage
