Electrical engineer for substation technology
Your tasks
- As a substation foreman, you will be responsible for the system and carry out switching operations in power supply systems and grids from 10kV to 220kV, also as a service provider on behalf of customers.
- You will plan and carry out maintenance and repair work on switchgear and equipment in the high and medium-voltage grid. You coordinate the complex maintenance and conversion measures on site as well as the deployment of external companies and your own personnel.
- You will be responsible for the quality assurance of the work carried out (quality, occupational health and safety and environmental protection, compliance with standards and technical regulations, etc.).
- You will set up the work sites for work on the electrical systems by third parties.
- You will also be involved in troubleshooting at all voltage levels as well as in secondary and protection technology and arrange further maintenance measures. You will carry out inspections and tests and be responsible for maintaining the planning system.
Your qualifications
- You have completed training as a master electrician or technician or have a comparable qualification.
- You also have extensive experience in dealing with power supply systems and grids in the voltage range from 10 kV to 220 kV – ideally over a period of at least two years.
- You will also have in-depth knowledge of substation operation and technology. You will be able to carry out live work on the relevant systems safely and routinely.
- You already have a switching license or are ready to qualify for switching licenses up to 220 kV.
- You are very familiar with the relevant legal and trade association regulations and the corresponding VDE standards and you implement them safely in practice. You not only work independently, but also contribute your responsible approach to teamwork in a committed and reliable manner. You have a high level of safety awareness and a strong willingness to learn.
- You are prepared to work for our customers on a supra-regional basis and sometimes outside normal working hours. In principle, you can imagine participating in on-call duty and are prepared to adapt flexibly to corresponding working hours.
- Our job advertisement appeals to you, but you don’t quite meet the 100% requirement? No problem – we’ll make up the missing percentage together.
