Your tasks
- After intensive training and further training, you will be responsible for the power supply in the city of Potsdam. You will be responsible for switching and controlling remote-controlled systems (medium and high voltage) as well as monitoring remote-controlled and remote-monitored systems.
- System control: You will carry out switching and control processes in remote-controlled medium and high-voltage systems.
- System monitoring: You will monitor remote-controlled and remote-monitored systems. You will also analyze and optimize processes in grid operation.
- Operational planning: Your tasks also include the scheduled coordination of switching operations with internal and external partners in switching operations.
- Fault management: You coordinate and instruct switching operations in order to limit faults and ensure that power is restored.
- Fault analysis: You routinely record faults – even in critical situations – and process them independently in the switching instruction area.
- Data management: You manage, maintain and update switching statuses and evaluate measurement data in the PRINS network control system.
Your qualifications
- Education: You have successfully completed an electrical engineering apprenticeship, ideally as a master craftsman (m/f/d) or technician (m/f/d), or have completed a university degree (Bachelor).
- Competence: Ideally, you already have relevant professional experience in dealing with high-voltage networks or in power current monitoring. You are also in possession of a switching license for medium and high-voltage grids or are interested in acquiring one.
- Working style: You work independently and on your own responsibility and are safety-conscious. You have a friendly demeanor and good communication skills, even in confusing situations.
- Commitment: You are prepared to work in a continuous three-shift system.
