As a regional energy supplier, we have been supplying private households, major customers and real estate companies in Bottrop, Essen and Gelsenkirchen with our environmentally friendly district heating since 1960 and will be climate-neutral from 2040. Your tasks
- District heating is an elementary cornerstone of climate-neutral heat supply in cities. Be part of our transformation towards climate neutrality! You will make a valuable contribution together with your colleagues in the team. Your main responsibility will be to monitor, maintain and support the operation of our heating plants and the associated ancillary systems during the day shift.
- Independently starting up and shutting down and operating the boiler systems, circulation pumps and auxiliary units on site in accordance with existing regulations and guidelines
- Operating the fuel supply and disposal systems
- Checking, monitoring, evaluating and documenting operating data
- Operating plant components in the event of a control failure
- Maintenance and repair of equipment and systems for energy distribution, lighting, signaling, control, regulation and drive technology
- Activities from the field of mechanical engineering, such as the maintenance or repair of heating plant components (e.g. pumps, valves, safety fittings, water treatment systems, pressure vessels, fuel supply systems and Group IV hot water boilers) in accordance with regulations and instructions
- If necessary, you will also take over the shift replacement in the control room of the heating plant in a fully continuous alternating shift.
Your qualifications
- You have successfully completed vocational training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering or a comparable qualification in the field of electrical engineering and have already gained several years of professional experience in the energy industry.
- In addition, we are looking forward to your following skills/qualities:
- Your willingness to participate in professional development programs, especially in the field of mechanical engineering
- Your good IT skills in the field of common MS Office applications, SI-PAM would also be desirable here
- Your willingness to work as a stand-in in the control room of the heating plant
- Your willingness to be on call after successful training
- Successfully completed training as a boiler attendant (TRD 601) or power plant operator is desirable (additional training as a boiler attendant can be completed later)
- Class B driving license
- Approx. 20% of the work in the control room of the heating plant is a solo job. During the lunch and night shifts and at weekends, you will be alone at the site once you have completed your induction.
