Electronics Technician / Power Grid and Energy Supply Technician (m/f/d)
SWE Netz GmbH operates the electricity and gas networks in Erfurt. As a subsidiary of the Stadtwerke Erfurt Group, it provides the network infrastructure in the state capital, serving an area of approximately 59 km² for the electricity grid and approximately 40 km² for the gas network. As the city’s grid operator and the primary metering point operator, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and new construction and expansion of the gas and electricity grids, as well as the associated facilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Use your technical expertise to ensure that electricity reliably reaches the places where it’s needed. Look forward to a variety of tasks in grid operations, modern equipment, and a strong team that works together to secure the region’s energy supply.
- Performing switching operations in electrical grids ranging from 1 to 110 kV
- Preparing, performing, and monitoring work on the power grid
- Fault location and troubleshooting in the grid area
- Installing and removing temporary construction power systems and insulation
- Coordinating and monitoring construction activities near electrical installations
- Training and supervising external contractors and service providers
- Technical documentation and order processing using modern software applications
- Participation in on-call duty to ensure a reliable power supply
Your Qualifications
- Completed training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering (m/f/d), electrical systems installer (m/f/d), electrical installer (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification in the field of electrical engineering
- Skills as a certified electrician and confidence in working with electrical systems and machinery
- Initial experience in the field of power grids or grid operations is desirable but not required
- Technical understanding, manual dexterity, and an interest in modern energy supply
- Proficiency with PC applications and digital tools, e.g., MS Office
- A friendly and confident demeanor when interacting with customers, colleagues, and partner companies
- Class B driver’s license
