Employee in wastewater network operations (f/m/d) – Ruhleben site
We in the wastewater drainage department ensure that wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area is drained to the sewage treatment plants. We build, operate and maintain our sewers, sewage pressure pipes and pumping stations.

Your tasks
- Carrying out inspections and assessing the condition of the sewer network’s wastewater systems
- Safeguarding the site against the risk of accidents
- Carrying out visual inspections (regular, event-related or acceptance of construction work)
- Inspecting the drainage systems for structural and operational condition
- On-site inspection of systems, identification and documentation of damage and initiation of initial measures to avert danger
- If required: installation of the necessary shut-off technology in the drainage systems and monitoring of functionality
- Setting up and operating an overpumping system
- Support with the cleaning and maintenance of various drainage systems
- Checking traffic safety at construction sites
Your qualifications
- Completed training as a specialist for pipe, sewer and industrial services or as a supply and disposal technician with sound knowledge of job-relevant tasks
- Alternatively: Completed training as a wastewater technology specialist with in-depth knowledge of job-related tasks
- Extensive knowledge of systems in the public sewer network
- Very good knowledge of software (e.g. UBI, geoinformation systems)
- Skills in special technology for operational tasks on wastewater systems
- Knowledge of environmental protection and occupational safety
- Class C driving license
- High customer orientation, reliability and ability to work in a team

- Remuneration
- We offer you a salary in pay group 5 according to the collective agreement for utility companies (TV-V). Depending on your personal requirements, you may also be placed in a lower pay group.
- In addition, a bonus is paid in accordance with TV-V.
