Employee (m/f/d) in energy management (part-time)
The Bergstrasse district is the southernmost district in Hesse in the Rhine-Main-Neckar economic region, well connected in terms of infrastructure and rich in diversity – both culturally and scenically. The Bergstrasse district team ensures attractive living and working conditions for the approximately 275,000 citizens in the 22 towns and municipalities. We secure and shape education, leisure and culture, roads and traffic, health, social affairs and consumer protection and ensure your safety. Our aim is to fulfill and further develop our tasks as a modern and innovative service provider in the interests of our citizens.
The Schools and Building Management department is responsible for all district-owned and rented properties, including schools. In the T2 – Technical Building Services department, 15 colleagues are responsible for HVAC, electrical, digital infrastructure and energy at our 74 schools and five administrative sites, thus making an active contribution to the energy transition and the implementation of the climate protection concept in the Bergstrasse district at all associated properties in the public sector.
Your tasks
- They take care of all aspects of meter management. This includes, among other things
- Monitoring the meter readings
- Transmission of meter data
- Organizing meter changes and the corresponding tradesman assignments
- Processing alarm messages from the meter management system
- In cooperation with the respective cities and municipalities, you will prepare heating cost bills for individual properties
- You will independently implement the bonus model for energy measures at our district schools
- You will provide support in drawing up contracts for PV systems or e-charging stations as well as with work relating to technical system changes/renewals (including applying for subsidies) and meter changes including connection
- The other technical departments in the building will advise you on the energy requirements/consumption of the district’s own properties (load profiles, heating requirements, etc.)
- After consultation with the responsible janitors, you will carry out heating oil orders in accordance with VOL
- The dunning process for the individual energy suppliers and the budget applications are in good hands with you
Your qualifications
- You have completed training as a technician (m/f/d) or master craftsman (m/f/d) in a technical profession with a basic commercial understanding
- During your several years of professional experience, you have already gained good technical knowledge in the areas of energy management and energy procurement
- You are in possession of a class B driving license or a valid driving license
- Desirable:
- You are familiar with the common Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- In addition to a structured and analytical way of thinking, you are characterized by an economic way of acting
- You enjoy working in a multi-professional team and are willing to network across the specialist areas
- Your way of working is independent, goal- and solution-oriented
- We are looking for someone who is motivated by the importance of energy management in terms of economic activity and climate change. At the same time, it is important to us that you are able to recognize and classify different generation and consumption situations in larger properties.
