Energy Management Specialist (m/f/d)

We support the more than 56,500 students in the Stuttgart university region with services such as food, accommodation, childcare, BAföG and counseling. Your tasks

  • You will support us in energy management (approx. 40%) and construction project management (approx. 60%) to make the Studierendenwerk’s building stock fit for the future.
  • You will establish quantitative energy management as the basis for the introduction of a sustainability program and form the interface to the Sustainability Coordinator as part of the energy optimization process.
  • You will be responsible for carrying out energy audits and analyses to identify potential savings.
  • You will provide technical advice on planning, implementation and conversions. This also includes the use of modern, energy-efficient technical building systems.
  • As part of construction project management, you will be responsible for technical and commercial project management, set key objectives and design the project structure. You will also coordinate the operational support of the partners involved and ensure timely, cost-effective implementation.

Your qualifications

  • You have a degree in energy management, environmental technology or engineering.
  • You have several years of professional experience in energy management, ideally experience with ISO 50001 certifications.
  • You have knowledge of conducting energy audits, energy controlling, sustainable corporate management and public procurement law.
  • You have a very good command of German and ideally a good command of English.
  • Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams and external auditors is an advantage.
  • Reliability and flexibility as well as an independent and structured way of working.
  • Excellent communication skills with different groups of people and a confident and friendly manner round off your profile.
