Your tasks

  • Optimization of energy use (energy efficiency, energy reduction, alternative energy supply) through development and implementation of projects as well as participation in projects between our European plants
  • Support and further development of the energy management system (EnMS)
  • Supporting those responsible in the company in all energy-related issues
  • Support and organization of CO 2 emissions trading, DEHST communication, sustainability certification
  • Proof of third-party electricity volumes and EEG reporting, communication with grid operators
  • Creation of an audit program and implementation of internal energy audits
  • Preparation and support for external audits (ISO 50001, sustainability certificate …)
  • Management of the energy team
  • Collaboration in the definition of energy targets and the action plan
  • Creation and further development of energy monitoring
  • Creation and maintenance of the decarbonization roadmap, management review
  • Energy assessment and capacity calculations
  • Monitoring the energy markets and preparing forecasts on the development of energy prices as well as plausibility checks of suppliers (energy and CO₂)
  • Carrying out statistical data collection for internal and external interested parties
  • Examining the possibilities of compensation and subsidies, in particular in connection with the EnFG, EEG, KWKG
  • Increasing the efficiency of existing systems (e.g. gas turbine operation)

Your qualifications

  • Completed Master’s degree in the field of energy, supply or process technology or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in a similar function in the field of energy, supply or process technology of a company in the chemical industry, preferably in the field of oleochemistry
  • Knowledge of the relevant laws, regulations and standards in the relevant areas (in particular Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG), Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG) BECV, ISO 50001, EU Energy Efficiency Directive, Federal Agency for Energy Efficiency (BfEE) Waste Heat Portal)
  • Expertise in the energy and process sector
  • Know-how in energy data collection and evaluation
  • RootCause analysis and other Lean 6 Sigma methods are an advantage and can be developed on the job
