Engineer as Team Leader Network Control Center (m/f/d)
As a future-oriented grid operator, we are investing in an intelligent and strong grid infrastructure in the South Baden region and are thus making a decisive contribution to the success of the energy transition.
Your tasks
- Leading, developing and managing a team of around 15 people in the grid control center – you set clear priorities, promote skills and ensure a high-performance team culture
- Responsibility for safe and efficient grid operation management in the medium-voltage grid as well as coordination and approval of switching operations in the high and medium-voltage grid
- Analyzing, evaluating and documenting grid events, faults and operating data; preparing relevant statistics, evaluations and reports
- Ensuring smooth 24/7 shift operation through forward-looking work and deployment planning
- Participating in specialist committees, actively shaping technical standards and taking on project management with strategic importance
- Representing the company to local authorities, mayors, authorities, crisis teams and the press – you present yourself confidently, explain complex issues clearly and represent our positions clearly
- Crisis and incident management: in special situations, you take responsibility, make decisions and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Your qualifications
- Completed engineering degree in electrical engineering, energy or high-voltage engineering
- Several years of management experience in a technical environment – ideally in grid operations or comparable areas of the energy sector
- Sound knowledge of energy supply, grid structures and switching technology
- Strong communication skills: you can convey technical content to the right audience – both internally and externally
- Assertiveness and decisiveness, especially in critical situations
- Strong implementation skills: you drive topics forward, structure complex tasks and ensure clear results
- Confident in dealing with authorities, local authorities, crisis teams and the media
- Team-oriented leader who builds trust, encourages feedback and promotes a culture of cooperation
