Your tasks

You will be responsible for analysing and checking the plausibility of the basic data (pipe dimensions, installation types, consumer specifications, installed services, geodetic heights) with specialist departments to develop standardized data documentation. You will be responsible for thermal and hydraulic network calculations for the technically demanding district heating network system with several generators and complex pressure maintenance systems. You will also be responsible for deriving the specifications and creating work instructions for the operation of the district heating system. You will be responsible for the hydraulic inspection and validation of customer connections, maintenance measures/modernization and DNU measures/strategic network expansions in coordination with the heating division. You will develop and pursue target network scenarios (heat division), taking into account various parameters (safety, reliability, economic efficiency, social and urban development). You create strategic grid concepts and derive the necessary measures to optimize the grid and grid structures from a technical, commercial and ecological perspective in close coordination with the basic planning for generation and the heating sector. You will be responsible for cross-departmental consultation and coordination with the specialist departments involved to provide and prepare the necessary data and calculation bases for in-house or external network calculations.


Your qualifications

Completed degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering or energy technology with a focus on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics Experience in network calculation software (e.g. Stanet) Knowledge of heating networks / network hydraulics Very good knowledge of pipe calculation for heating water / steam media Business fluent in written and spoken German The internal job title is Principle Planner
