Engineer for Technical Building Services (m/f/d) for the Department of Energy Building Optimization

Your tasks
- They support the “Building Energy Optimization” team with their expertise in the use of heat pumps, their integration into the overall building technology and in combination with renewable energies. They focus on both individual buildings and the systematic conversion of existing buildings to fossil-free heat. They inform and advise different target groups on system concepts and technical solutions for both residential and non-residential buildings in the areas of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitary and electrical systems (HVACS). The tasks include in particular
- The development of exemplary TGA concepts for use in municipal and state-owned properties
- Monitoring the market and technical developments
- Developing and supporting training and information offerings for energy consultants and other multipliers
- Creating information products on climate-friendly building technology measures and funding offers
- Professional assessment and preparation of good practice examples
Your qualifications
- Master’s degree with a specialization in “Technical Building Services” in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable course of study
- Sound specialist knowledge of heat pumps, in particular technical guidelines and standards and with regard to the design and optimization of new and existing buildings
- Experience in dealing with the application of DIN 18599 for energy demand calculations
- Practical experience in planning and construction supervision (HKLSE)
- Very good written and spoken German
- Willingness to prepare and give presentations to different target groups (technical experts, building owners, users)
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confident and engaging demeanor.
