Your Responsibilities:
As a grid developer in the field of technical asset management, you will actively shape the energy transition: You will strategically plan and optimize our power grid, perform complex load flow and short-circuit current calculations, and develop technical solutions that ensure a reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy supply. - Creating target network plans for the development of high-, medium-, and low-voltage grids, as well as systems to enhance expertise in the energy transition
- Performing load flow, short-circuit, protection, and reliability calculations in PowerFactory to optimize the grids—including the assessment of bottlenecks and the derivation of technical measures
- Revising protection philosophies, defining selective protection strategies, selecting appropriate protection parameters, and developing concepts for the strategic advancement of protection and digitalization technology
- Conducting asset simulations, developing technical concepts, comparing alternatives, and performing economic feasibility analyses under regulatory conditions to support innovative and efficient asset management
- Assessment and assurance of the grid connectivity of large-scale consumers, renewable energy plants, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Collaborating on interdisciplinary projects within a diverse team of young and experienced engineers
Your Profile:
- A degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of grid modeling, ideally using PowerFactory, as well as strategic asset management with a focus on grid development
- Strong technical understanding of distribution grids, equipment, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience working with renewable energy plants and storage systems is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking, a structured approach to work, and a strong focus on solutions—combined with flexibility, the ability to work well in a team, and a passion for taking an active role in shaping projects
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as very good written and oral communication skills in German
