Your Position at a Glance

You will work on construction projects involving small-scale new construction, renovation, and expansion of electrical systems, such as power distribution systems in the medium-voltage range up to 20 kV and in the low-voltage range, emergency power supply systems, fire alarm systems, and telecommunications systems.
In doing so, you will work in interesting environments that include technical, chemical, or biological laboratories specializing in experimental fields.
Project management covers all service phases of the HOAI, particularly conceptualization, design, and detailed planning, as well as cost and schedule planning, tendering, preparation for contract award and participation in the awarding of contracts, participation in the awarding of engineering contracts, coordination of companies and independent contractors involved in construction, construction supervision and project management, preparation and execution of final inspections, and billing.
In all construction projects, special attention is paid to sustainability concepts, including the use of renewable energy.

Who are we looking for?

A degree as a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, utilities, heating, ventilation, and plumbing engineering, hospital operations engineering, or process, energy, and environmental engineering, or a comparable field of study, as well as many years of practical experience (at least three years) in a relevant field
This job posting is also open to individuals who do not have the required academic qualifications but are nonetheless fully capable of performing the duties of the position, such as state-certified technicians or master craftsmen/women. In this case, your pay grade will depend on your specific practical experience relevant to the position. Salary classification will then be in the next lower pay grade (E11 TV-L).
Extensive, in-depth experience in planning and project work (service phases 1 through 9 of the HOAI) in the context of new construction projects for medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), and fire protection systems, including experimental fields involving biological and chemical laboratories
Good written and spoken German skills, at least C1 level
Confident demeanor, strong negotiation skills, commitment, and the ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of VOB, HOAI, and public procurement law
Experience using Microsoft Office, cost estimation software, and CAD for building services engineering
Knowledge of medium-voltage systems, load management, and energy metering is mandatory.
