Expert (m/f/d) SmartGrids and cyber security
Dena’s mission is to contribute to the success of the energy transition. As a competence center for applied energy transition and climate protection, it supports the German government in achieving its energy and climate policy goals. To this end, it brings together partners from politics, business, science and all parts of society. Nationally and internationally, dena develops solutions for climate neutrality and puts them into practice.
Your tasks
- As part of the ‘Electricity’ work area in the ‘Future of Energy Supply’ department, you will make a direct contribution to the success of the energy transition. We work on many exciting projects relating to technical, market and regulatory issues concerning the future of the electricity infrastructure. In doing so, you will be working directly on the decarbonization of the German energy system and ensuring that Germany becomes climate-neutral by 2045.
- Writing qualitative and quantitative studies, analyses, background papers, project reports and briefings, taking into account technological, political and regulatory aspects
- Preparing and giving presentations and speeches as well as participating in expert exchanges
- Conception, preparation and implementation of stakeholder processes and specialist events for various players from politics, business, science and civil society
- Preparing specialist content for different communication formats and target groups
- Attending specialist events and building your network
- The position is full-time and initially limited to two years with the option of permanent employment.
Your qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in economics, law, engineering, political science, social sciences, sustainability management or a comparable course of study
- Strong analytical and conceptual working skills and an interest in familiarizing yourself with new and complex issues
- Ideally in-depth knowledge of the key challenges of the energy transition as well as knowledge of the political stakeholder landscape, in particular on issues of digitalization and cyber security in electricity infrastructures
- Confidence and commitment in dealing with representatives of companies and public institutions
- Desire to actively participate in the implementation of the energy transition and to work closely with the federal ministries, in particular the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, to this end
- You have a very good command of written and spoken German.
