Stuttgart Netze ensures that people in Stuttgart have a reliable supply of electricity and gas around the clock. As a distribution grid operator, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance and modernization of the 5,600-kilometre-long electricity grid and the 2,100-kilometre-long gas grid in the state capital. In addition to ensuring security of supply, we are investing in the further development of the grids in order to meet the increasing demands of the energy transition and create a sustainable energy infrastructure in Stuttgart. We also look after 74,000 street lights for the city of Stuttgart. As a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Stuttgart, we support the state capital of Stuttgart on its path to climate neutrality by 2035 with around 600 employees.
In the “Network Operation” division, our experts ensure that Stuttgart’s gas network is constantly maintained, checked and faults are rectified. In future, we will also operate the high-pressure gas network in Stuttgart.
Your tasks
- Varied tasks await you
- You will actively work to ensure security of supply in the state capital Stuttgart
- Shaping and actively participating in the transformation of the existing natural gas network into a hydrogen network capable of producing hydrogen
- Participate in the implementation of the EU Methane Emissions Ordinance in practice and thus make an active contribution to climate protection
- Maintenance and servicing of the Stuttgart gas supply network and its GDRMA, primarily in the area of high-pressure gas supply
- Conversion work for construction measures in the area of gas supply
- Line inspection in the area of the high-pressure gas pipeline in the Stuttgart network area
- Fault rectification of operational faults or their forwarding
Your qualifications
- Completed vocational training as a plant mechanic (f/m/d) pipe system technician, supply technician or similar
- Experience in the field of energy supply, pipeline construction or process heating systems
- Experience in the field of gas pressure control
- Willingness to undergo further training to become a DVGW expert (f/m/d) in the field of G102 for pipes >16bar and GDRMA
- You are characterized by your ability to work in a team and enjoy working with colleagues
- Driving license class B, BE and willingness to train for driving license class C1E
