For our Metelen-Stadtlohn grid area team at the Ems-Vechte regional center, Metelen site, we are looking for dedicated reinforcement as soon as possible - for a limited period of 4 years.
The Ems-Vechte regional center based in Bad Bentheim manages four network areas with a team of 100 employees who are responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of electricity, gas, water and fiber optic networks. The Ems-Vechte regional center covers parts of the districts of Grafschaft Bentheim and Emsland as well as parts of the districts of Steinfurt and Borken. As part of your activities, you will work in a team of seven colleagues to ensure safe and trouble-free operation in the Metelen network area.
That's what you do:
- You will be responsible for independently carrying out and monitoring installation, maintenance and repair work in the areas of our gas technology systems, pipe networks and our medium and low-voltage cables and overhead line networks
- You will independently inspect equipment and infrastructure in the gas and medium/low-voltage network and rectify faults in these networks on your own responsibility
- You carry out switching operations in medium/low-voltage grids
- You will be responsible for operational work, such as commissioning, planning information, documentation, creating short-term connections and installation work as part of in-house measures in our gas and medium/low-voltage networks
- You will be responsible for the technical supervision and coordination of external companies and the monitoring of quality requirements
- You take part in the division-integrated on-call duty (gas/electricity) as required
What you bring with you:
- You have completed training in a recognized gas or electrical engineering profession and are qualified as a gas or electricity grid fitter or are willing to acquire this qualification
- You have good knowledge of gas systems and networks, local network stations as well as cable and overhead line networks
- You are interested in IT topics and ideally have knowledge of the relevant IT systems, such as MS Office products, SAP applications and planning information systems
- You live in the catchment area of the network area and have a valid class B/BE driver's license so that you can be part of our local standby team if required and can drive to your respective locations in the area independently with our available deployment and assembly vehicles
- You are aware of potential hazards in the work environment and look out for yourself and others
- You actively promote teamwork by involving everyone involved and are committed and keep your promises
