Group Leader (m/f/d) Production – Electricity / Heat / Cogeneration Plant – Niehl

Your tasks

  • Disciplinary and technical management of the employees within the group (30 people in shift operation and three people in the production/work preparation department)
  • Ensuring that all power and heating plants assigned to the power plant site (approx. 880 MWel and 500 MWth) are operated in a resource-conserving, demand-oriented and economical manner
  • Personnel and organizational development of the structure and processes in the production area
  • Planning shifts for employees in the Group throughout the year
  • Performing representative functions in the area of responsibility
  • Taking part in the on-call duty (currently every eight weeks)

Your qualifications

  • Completed technical studies, e.g. process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar course of study
  • Several years of professional and management experience in a comparable field and/or in the commissioning of complex technical systems
  • Business fluent in German and good command of English
  • Knowledge of dealing with 24/7 alternating shift operation
  • Good knowledge of the applicable regulations and laws (e.g.: licensing law, energy industry, occupational health and safety and environmental protection)
  • High level of social competence and the ability to lead employees in a goal-oriented and appreciative manner
  • Strong sense of initiative and responsible behavior
  • Experience in the operation of power plants desirable
