As one of four transmission system operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for electricity transmission at the highest voltage level; the level on which everything depends when it comes to grid stability and security of supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid network and cooperate directly with colleagues throughout Europe. Together with the Belgian grid operator Elia, 50Hertz forms a European company: the Elia Group. We work together intensively on key issues. Individual areas such as IT or purchasing are group functions, i.e. Elia and 50Hertz colleagues work in a joint team in workplaces spread across Berlin and Brussels.

• I ensure the safe, cost-optimized and environmentally friendly provision of the 50Hertz offshore grid connections up to the onshore grid connection point. I am responsible for planning and monitoring maintenance, including troubleshooting, with the aim of minimizing the impact on third parties and the environment. At the same time, I am responsible for coordinating offshore operations and ensuring compliance with national and international laws, regulations, standards and contracts. I am also responsible for managing other key functions such as documentation and installation technology,
• Leading my own team of around twelve employees. I know how to put myself in other people’s shoes, motivate them, sensitize them to dangers and inspire them to achieve goals,
• Together with my team, I supervise projects for the construction of new grid connections and the expansion of existing grid connections and organize the monitoring and management of our contractors’ work through to acceptance and commissioning,
• Internal and external cooperation with numerous partners and participation in working groups and committees as well as in the planning of budgets and resources.

• In the role of Head of Operations and Coordination, I am the driving force behind the operation of our state-of-the-art offshore facilities in the German Baltic Sea, including the land and submarine cable systems, in line with requirements. I have already been responsible for employees and have in-depth knowledge of the operation of power grids. I have detailed knowledge of coordinating maritime maintenance work and am aware of the extraordinary responsibility I bear in terms of work, operational and supply safety at every moment of my work.
• Completed studies (Master’s or Diploma) in an electrical, energy or industrial engineering discipline,
• At least five years of relevant professional experience, including initial employee responsibility,
• Confident handling of SAP, standard office software (MS Office) and database application software,
• Health suitability for offshore deployment,
• Knowledge of planning, administrative and contract law is an advantage,
• Very good knowledge of English (C1),
• Car driving license.
• Experience in project management in the construction and maintenance of offshore grid connections, solid knowledge of MS Office, SAP-PM/SRM and basic knowledge of other modules and database applications make your application particularly interesting for us.
