Head of Regional Cooperation and Project Development (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Strategic management and development of the “Municipal Cooperation and Project Management” organizational unit in line with corporate goals and regulatory framework conditions
  • Development and management of a cross-divisional cooperation portfolio with municipalities, municipal utilities and other regional partners for the joint implementation of projects in the areas of heat, electricity and renewable energies
  • Initiating, managing and implementing projects for the regional heating transition, including municipal heating planning, grid solutions and cross-sector infrastructure projects (PV, wind, battery storage)
  • Planning and managing relevant interfaces with stakeholders and shareholders, including political, official and economic players
  • Responsibility for the project mandate, investment planning and project management – with a focus on efficiency, implementation time, budget compliance and transparency
  • Development and implementation of citizen participation models and innovative cooperation formats to strengthen regional acceptance and participation
  • Client responsibility for complex, cross-technology projects, including the selection and management of external service providers and partners

Your qualifications

  • Completed university degree in business administration, industrial engineering, energy management or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of management experience in a strategic position with responsibility for interdisciplinary project teams, ideally in a municipal or energy industry environment
  • Sound knowledge in the application of ISO standards (including ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and EMAS) as well as in the technical and economic support of complex infrastructure projects – including experience in funding management and the handling of publicly financed projects
  • Confident manner and strong ability to represent the company externally – especially in dialog with municipal decision-makers, political bodies and regional partners
  • Proven strength in building and maintaining strategic networks, especially in municipal stakeholder structures
  • Excellent communication, moderation and negotiation skills, coupled with a high degree of diplomatic skill
  • Proven practical experience in project management, project control and the economic evaluation and cost control of major projects.
  • Ideally experience in working with SAP (especially in the project and controlling module) as well as common CRM systems including their customization in the context of stakeholder and partner relationships
