High-Voltage Technology Operations Manager (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • In this key position, you will ensure the safe, cost-effective, and forward-looking operation of the 110/10-kV power grid at Düsseldorf Airport. Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
  • Responsibility for the operation of the 110/10-kV grid, including all operator obligations
  • Serving as the designated qualified electrician
  • Providing technical and disciplinary leadership for your team, including staff scheduling and employee development
  • Managing and coordinating maintenance, repair, and retrofit measures, as well as analyzing and resolving faults in the power grid
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and technical requirements
  • Responsibility for budget planning, budget management, and cost control
  • Strategic development of the division and helping to shape Düsseldorf Airport’s energy supply strategy
  • Contributing to the maintenance and further development of DIN ISO 27001 certification
  • Leading and implementing projects in primary and secondary engineering

Your Qualifications

  • A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering (Dipl.-Ing. / M.Sc.) with a focus on energy engineering
  • Ideally, supplemented by vocational training as an electronics technician for industrial systems (m/f/d)
  • Several years of professional and leadership experience in the operation of power supply systems
  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant legal and technical regulations, in particular the Energy Industry Act, the Industrial Safety Ordinance, and applicable regulations and standards
  • Experience in the field of information security management systems and certifications according to DIN ISO 27001
  • Good knowledge of control and protection technology as well as the operation of power supply systems
  • Very good IT user skills, particularly in the area of control technology
  • Personally, you demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, decisiveness, assertiveness, and a structured approach to work.
  • The position involves day shifts; however, you must be willing to work other shifts when operational needs require it. Additionally, participation in on-call duty is mandatory.
