Industrial Transformation Specialist (Lower Saxony Alliance for Sustainability) (m, f, d)
The Lower Saxony Climate Protection and Energy Agency GmbH (KEAN) is an agency of the State of Lower Saxony and is tasked with further advancing climate protection and the energy transition in Lower Saxony.
A team of experts who competently and passionately develop solutions related to climate protection, energy efficiency, energy conservation, and renewable energy.
A driving force and networker for all relevant climate protection stakeholders in Lower Saxony, including municipalities, businesses, associations, agencies, political bodies, and civic groups.
Your Responsibilities
- Analysis and Assessment of the Framework Conditions for Industrial Transformation, with a Focus on Electricity Supply, Grid Connections, and Electrification
- Identification and development of areas of action for integrating industrial consumers into the energy system (e.g., load flexibility, grid connection processes, electricity infrastructure)
- Technical support for projects in the areas of climate protection and the energy transition in industry
- Design, organization, and implementation of technical events, workshops, and networking meetings
- Preparation of technical articles, statements, and concept papers
- Project coordination in collaboration with partners
Your Qualifications
- A completed degree in a technical or engineering field (Master’s/Diploma), such as industrial engineering, process engineering, technical business administration, or a comparable qualification with a focus on the energy sector
- Knowledge of energy supply, power grids, industrial decarbonization, or infrastructure planning
- Interest in topics at the intersection of industry, energy, and politics/regulation
- Experience in project management or project oversight
- A structured, analytical, and independent approach to work
- Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with various stakeholders
- Very good written and spoken German
- Experience in the energy sector, industry, consulting, or associations
- Knowledge of grid connection processes, flexibility options, or energy markets
- Experience in facilitation, event management, or public relations
