(Junior) Consultant (m/f/d) in the Energy Systems & Infrastructure Planning business unit in Berlin

As part of the group, BBH Consulting AG advises energy supply companies and grid operators on complex economic and technical issues and develops innovative solutions for a sustainable energy supply.
Your tasks
- As a (Junior) Consultant you will develop tailor-made solutions for the optimization of energy infrastructures (in particular electricity and gas grids) taking into account decarbonization targets.
- Advising clients on grid planning and decarbonization issues
- Supporting the development and application of new approaches for the integrated planning of infrastructures
- Creating scenarios and forecasts for future developments of energy infrastructures
- Collaboration in the creation of concepts and strategies for the implementation of decarbonization measures
- Conducting analyses and assessments of existing grid infrastructures to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
- Application of modeling tools and software for the simulation of electricity and gas grids and collaboration in the development of suitable algorithms and models
- Flexible and location-independent working hours are possible at any time thanks to home office.
Your qualifications
- Completed studies in the field of (industrial) engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject
- Interest and motivation to actively shape the energy transition and support companies in the transformation process
- Initial experience in the energy industry and in modeling electricity and/or gas grids is desirable
- Knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Python)
- An independent way of working, quick comprehension, high reliability and above all authenticity and honesty
- Analytical thinking skills and quick comprehension
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
