Key Account Manager – Battery Storage Solutions (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Key Account Manager who acts and implements proactively to drive rapid growth in attractive markets, especially in the area of Power Generation and Utilities in Europe. This position is embedded in the Key Account area and reports to the Group Manager Power.
Your tasks
- Sales, Key Accounting
- Strategic support
- Support the implementation of the growth strategy for the Power Generation and Utilities markets in Europe.
- Working with the Group Head of Power and other team members to achieve planned results.
- Market focus
- Power Generation and Utilities: Strengthen and build relationships with international utilities and power plant builders to position optimal battery storage solutions as critical infrastructure components for grid reliability and energy efficiency.
- Customer acquisition and growth
- Actively pursuing new business opportunities with a focus on strategy execution and personal commitment and rapid implementation.
- Negotiating and securing high value contracts with utilities and power plant builders.
- Collaboration and development
- Working with the sales team, product management and business development to drive collaboration and achieve common goals.
- Travel and customer management
- Hands-on approach through extensive travel (50% or more) to meet customers, partners, ensure strong customer relationships to drive quick decisions in the customer relationship.
Your qualifications
- You have a successful Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, engineering or a comparable field.
- You have at least 7 years of experience in sales or business development roles in the areas of energy supply, battery solutions, power supply or power plant components.
- You have a proven track record of customer acquisition and rapid market penetration in Power Generation and Utilities or a comparable sector.
- You have experience of working with cross-functional teams and are used to delivering results in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- You have strong communication and negotiation skills in German, English or other foreign languages and a practical and results-oriented mindset.
- You have a proven ability to quickly penetrate new markets through innovative strategies and targeted customer management.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills as well as experience in managing large, complex sales processes are part of your repertoire.
- A sound understanding of electrotechnical solutions, ideally in the field of battery storage technologies, energy management solutions and their applications in power generation and utilities, rounds off your profile.
