NEW NiederrheinWasser GmbH is a subsidiary of NEW AG and has been responsible for water extraction and treatment in the supply area of the cities of Mönchengladbach, Viersen, Grevenbroich and Korschenbroich as well as in several towns and municipalities in the district of Viersen since 2005. The drinking water produced by NEW NiederrheinWasser is obtained exclusively from local, well-protected groundwater. Your tasks
- Main tasks
- In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the organization with 41 employees in three departments: Water Management, Waterworks and Groundwater Protection, Cooperation and Outdoor Facilities including Biodiversity. You will manage the operation and further development of nine waterworks, water extraction plants, elevated reservoirs, water towers and pipe transport lines and develop concepts to ensure long-term security of supply, for example against the backdrop of the end of lignite mining in the region. As part of the NEW AG performance team, you will contribute your expertise to group-wide decision-making processes and actively shape transformation projects and digitalization projects. In close coordination with NEW Netz GmbH – the operator of the water networks – you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies towards a fully digitalized and automated water supply. You will ensure compliance with technical, legal and regulatory requirements and promote a future-oriented working environment. In addition, you will represent NEW both professionally in committees and networks as well as representatively at local events and vis-à-vis municipal partners.
Your qualifications

- You will bring a high level of technical aplomb to this responsible role. The basis for this is a scientific technical education with a focus on hydrogeology, water management or engineering-related environmental issues. Building on this, you will have several years of relevant professional and management experience in water management organizations, for example in water supply, water use or relevant (special-purpose) associations. Knowledge of the implementation of digital solutions rounds off your professional profile. On a personal level, your analytical clarity and sense of responsibility are impressive. As a manager, you work in a committed and appreciative manner, empower employees to take on responsibility and create a future-oriented working environment.
