Working together for the local energy transition and with a heart for the region: As an inter-municipal energy supplier, GSW Gemeinschaftsstadtwerke GmbH Kamen – Bönen – Bergkamen has been providing electricity, gas, water, heat and leisure facilities in the eastern Ruhr region for 30 years. Around 220 dedicated employees work together to ensure security of supply, economic efficiency and sustainability. In trusting cooperation with the municipal shareholders, GSW is shaping the regional climate future and implementing the development of intelligent energy supply concepts and the expansion of fiber optics. As part of an optimized management and organizational structure, the value creation of all customer-related processes will be bundled in the Market division in future.
Your tasks
- Main responsibilities.
- You will manage the three teams Sales and Procurement, Customer Dialogue and Invoicing and Contract Management with a total of 38 employees and report directly to the Managing Director. You and your teams provide holistic support to GSW’s customers. Your broad range of tasks includes aspects of strategic sales planning and product development as well as energy procurement and management of the customer centers through to billing. The aim of your activities is long-term customer retention and new customer acquisition in the private and business customer segment. The challenge is not only to meet the changing market requirements by developing solutions and products in the energy and services business in a results-oriented manner and to drive forward digitalization, but also to proactively help shape the associated cross-company change process. To this end, you will initiate efficient marketing measures and optimize customer communication in all its facets. Accordingly, you will take on a multi-layered interface function, ensure smooth processes among each other and work constructively with your divisional management colleagues.
Your qualifications
- Qualifications.
- As a professional basis for successfully taking on this position, you ideally have a degree (energy industry, economics or similar) and have already demonstrated your leadership skills and innovative strength in a comparable sales role. You are a generalist, strategic personality who sees the current challenges of the energy industry as an opportunity to successfully align an organization in the long term. Industry knowledge is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. Personally, you will impress with your high service orientation, coupled with strong communication skills and empathy. As an authentic, integrative manager, you know how to take your employees along with you on new paths and motivate them.
