Meteorologist (f/m/d) for quality assurance for wind and solar power forecasts

Together with our partner companies emsys VPP and emsys grid services, we at energy & meteo systems do our best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energies into electricity grids and markets. To this end, we offer our customers – electricity traders and grid operators worldwide – pioneering software products and full services. In addition to wind and solar power forecasts, these include virtual power plants for controlling decentralized energy systems and a platform concept for forward-looking grid planning.

• Wind and solar power forecasts
• You will provide qualified meteorological support for our customers in the energy industry.
• You will ensure the best possible quality of our power forecasts.
• You will use your expertise to further develop the content and methodology of our forecasting system.
• You will work closely with our research, software development and key accounting teams.

• Ideally, you have a degree in meteorology, geosciences, physics or another related natural science.
• Your interest in synoptics and recognizing synoptic relationships is important – you also like to deal with complex processes and question them critically.
• You can demonstrate your analytical skills in statistical data analysis, for example.
• You enjoy customer contact and transparent communication – you also have good language skills in German and English.
• You are prepared to occasionally work at weekends and get up early – we can also rely on your commitment in time-critical phases.
• You enjoy working in a team and equally enjoy working independently – you impress with your structured and goal-oriented approach.
• We welcome additional knowledge of renewable energies, energy markets, the electricity grid or numerical weather forecasting.
