Design and further development of a scientifically sound review framework for municipal heating plans, taking into account the current legal framework and technical standards.
Design and implementation of state-wide evaluations of municipal heating plans, in particular the analysis of usable renewable heating potential, infrastructure needs, and transition pathways, as well as the derivation of strategic conclusions for the heating transition in Lower Saxony.
Technical contextualization of the results within regulatory, economic, and funding policy frameworks, as well as identification of needs for steering and further development.
Preparation of reports, technical articles, and presentations for policymakers, government officials, and the professional community, as well as the presentation of complex interrelationships in a manner tailored to the target audience.
Design and further development of support services for municipalities (e.g., guidelines, working aids, exchange platforms) based on the insights gained.
Analyzing and evaluating current research findings as well as innovative methods and technologies in the context of the heating transition; providing technical support for relevant research projects.
Establishing and maintaining professional networks, as well as actively participating in state- and federally-level expert committees and exchange forums.
You offer
A completed academic degree (Master’s, university diploma, or equivalent) in environmental technology, environmental engineering, energy economics, energy technology, renewable energy, land-use planning, or a comparable field related to municipal heat planning.
In-depth knowledge of energy supply, renewable energy, energy efficiency, or infrastructure planning.
Understanding of the energy industry, regulatory, and subsidy frameworks, as well as an interest in implementing the energy transition.
An analytical, structured, and independent work style with a strong affinity for conceptual and strategic issues.
Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with municipalities, companies, grid operators, associations, and other stakeholders.
Very good written and spoken German.
