Network inspector for inspection and house connections with appointment as foreman (f/m/d)

We in the wastewater drainage department ensure that wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area is drained to the sewage treatment plants. We build, operate and maintain our sewers, sewage pressure pipes and pumping stations.

Your tasks

  • Inspection, recording and leak testing of public drainage systems and leak testing of house connections on site. This includes
  • Inspection of pipes, manholes and house connections using camera technology (panoramo, analog and SAT technology)
  • Detection of damage as part of the condition survey
  • Carrying out the physical leak test
  • Documentation of the identified master data, with special knowledge of culverts and storage sewers
  • Initiating the inspection of the water level in manholes
  • Preparation and follow-up of the inspection and recording of public drainage systems and leak testing of house connections

Your qualifications

  • Specialist for pipe, sewer and industrial services with in-depth knowledge of job-relevant tasks or supply and disposal technician with in-depth knowledge of job-relevant tasks
  • Alternatively: Completed technical vocational training as an industrial mechanic or wastewater technology specialist with in-depth knowledge of job-related tasks or technical profession with lateral entry program Training as a pipe, sewer and industrial service specialist
  • Sewer inspection course and leak testing course
  • Very good user knowledge of relevant software (e.g. inspection software, UBI)
  • Extensive knowledge and application of inspection and/or leak testing techniques
  • Knowledge of the systems of the public drainage network from an operational perspective
  • Knowledge of regulations, official requirements and occupational safety
  • Required: Valid class B and CE driving license
  • Ability to work in a team, reliability and resilience
