The Build AC department implements AC construction projects in geographically organized regions. It provides project management and engineering services in areas such as construction, approvals, crossings and logistics. It also provides support with quality and document management as well as project warehousing. The unit coordinates regional and national activities with stakeholders and defines clear performance targets and OKRs to realize strategic goals in AC grid expansion.

• As Overall Project Manager Main Network Expansion South (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and commissioning of an assigned network expansion project in the Frankfurt am Main region. In this context, you will be responsible for the interdisciplinary and technical management of the entire project team in a matrix organization.
• You are responsible for the safe execution of the major project (including the sub-projects) in accordance with the project boundaries and specifications
• You will monitor the progress of the project, identify project risks, prepare well-founded decision papers as required and report regularly to management and all relevant stakeholders
• Through the interdisciplinary and technical leadership of the project team, you are responsible for personnel and resource planning in coordination with the Area Director and Program Director
• You coordinate all internal and external departments and contractual partners involved in the overall project, organize and participate in contract negotiations
• You are responsible for the completion and proper handover of the systems to operations and maintenance and ensure a smooth transition through close coordination with the operational units
• You take care of occupational safety throughout the entire project and its progress, thereby making an active contribution to a safe working environment for you, your colleagues and external contractors

• A successfully completed degree (university/university of applied sciences) in engineering, business administration or a related technical field is the basis of your success
• You have already gained relevant professional experience in project management and in leading technical teams, ideally in the context of large infrastructure or energy projects, and therefore have sound specialist knowledge in the areas of budgeting
• Due to your diverse interfaces in this role, you have very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• You think strategically and have the ability to establish and maintain organizational standards and processes
• Your excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills at all management levels round off your profile
