Plant Manager (m/f/d)
Stadtwerke Schifferstadt is a municipal energy supply and service company that provides electricity, natural gas, heating, wastewater and municipal services. As a company owned by the city of Schifferstadt, it offers citizens and companies sustainable energy solutions and products and is shaping the local energy and heating transition for a climate-friendly future. As part of a retirement succession, we are looking for a personally and professionally convincing personality as head of the in-house operation as of October 1, 2026.
Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the operational, strategic and economic management as well as the sustainable further development of the municipal utilities and shareholdings
- Coordination and control of operational management tasks in the areas of electricity, gas, heating, wastewater, municipal services (building yard/gardening) and renewable energies
- Implementation of the local energy and heating transition, the development of innovative products and services and the promotion of future-oriented energy generation, including deep geothermal energy
- Continuous further development of business processes and customer service as well as consulting services
- Promotion and development of employees through an open and transparent communication and corporate culture
- Trusting cooperation with municipal bodies, building and maintaining regional networks and representing the company
Your qualifications
- Degree in business administration, industrial engineering or comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional and management experience – ideally in a municipal environment in the energy industry
- Experience in the management and implementation of infrastructure projects as well as a sound understanding of the energy industry
- Leadership personality with social skills and empathy
- Focus on results and the future, decisiveness and pragmatic thinking and action with a focus on what is feasible
- Negotiating skills as well as a confident, customer-oriented manner and transparent communication
