Your tasks
- Thinking in terms of strategies, assessing risks, turning ideas into reality and always looking to the future – does that sound right up your street? Then you are exactly the right person to manage our portfolio.
- With our trading and risk strategy always in mind, you will procure electricity, gas, guarantees of origin and certificates, develop hedging strategies and manage volume and price risks.
- Your clever input is also needed in the portfolio strategy: together with your team, you bring a breath of fresh air to the strategic direction and help to further develop the economic asset deployment planning.
- With the aim of optimizing our portfolio management system, you will monitor the market at all times, analyze relevant developments, create models for risk and pricing analyses, further develop sales forecasts and maintain load and price forecasts.
- It goes without saying that you can also be relied on when it comes to regulatory matters and data: you evaluate and implement regulatory requirements, juggle figures with ease, are responsible for reporting and KPI tracking – and thus contribute to accurate forecasts, seamless risk figures and error-free contribution margins.
- And because, like us, you like to look to the future, you will use your technical expertise to help us make progress in projects to transform the heat supply.
Your qualifications
- Completed technical and economic studies, for example in the field of industrial engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Additional qualification as a certified energy portfolio manager or exchange trader (spot or futures market) is a plus
- Project management experience and sound knowledge of procurement markets, risk management and market analysis
- Resilient professional experience in the energy industry, ideally in the area of virtual power plants and/or short-term portfolio optimization, as well as a good understanding of the relevant energy industry regulations, such as EnWG, EEG or KWK
- Experienced in working with energy data management and portfolio management systems, such as robotron*esales or SOPTIM PMS
- Excellent Office skills (especially Excel) and programming skills in Python, MATLAB or R
- Confident knowledge of English and very good German
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a good understanding of numbers paired with an entrepreneurial approach
- Communication skills, willingness to take responsibility and cooperate as well as persuasiveness and assertiveness
- Methodical and solution-oriented approach to requirements management and the ability to successfully manage projects with complex models
