The Company
Our client operates one of Europe’s most efficient hard coal-fired power plants in the Rhine-Neckar region, generating electricity for households, businesses, and industry. It also supplies the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region with district heating. To strengthen the team at the Mannheim site, we are looking for you as a Power Plant Foreman (m/f/d).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor plant operations while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, regulations, and operating procedures
- Operating and monitoring the equipment in the control room and on-site
- Starting up and shutting down individual units and plant components, as well as all auxiliary systems
- Coordinate necessary measures in the event of malfunctions and during overhauls
- Coordinate necessary work permits, including their documentation
- Commission maintenance activities
- Arranging or conducting regular inspection rounds to assess the condition of the systems
- Maintain operational documentation
- Staff scheduling
- Train, orient, and instruct employees
- Acting as a substitute unit supervisor
Your Qualifications
- Completed training as a power plant foreman
- Comprehensive understanding of the process engineering and electronics of production facilities
- Leadership experience with a team-oriented approach, interpersonal skills, and strong communication abilities
- Many years of experience working in shift operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP
