The Company

Our client operates one of Europe’s most efficient hard coal-fired power plants in the Rhine-Neckar region, generating electricity for households, businesses, and industry. It also supplies the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region with district heating. To strengthen the team at the Mannheim location, we are looking for you as a Power Plant Foreman (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor plant operations while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, regulations, and operating procedures
  • Operating and monitoring the equipment in the control room and on-site
  • Start up and shut down individual units and plant components, as well as all auxiliary systems
  • Coordinate necessary measures in the event of malfunctions and during inspections
  • Coordinate the necessary work permits, including their documentation
  • Commission maintenance activities
  • Arranging or conducting regular inspection rounds to assess the condition of the equipment
  • Maintain operational documentation
  • Staff scheduling
  • Train, orient, and instruct employees
  • Acting as a substitute unit operator

Your Qualifications

  • Completed training as a power plant foreman
  • Comprehensive understanding of the process engineering and electronics of production facilities
  • Leadership experience with a team-oriented approach, interpersonal skills, and strong communication abilities
  • Many years of experience working shifts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
