Project Engineer (m/f/d) Asset Management with a focus on electrical and control technology

Your tasks

  • Collaboration in the realization of complex and large investment and conversion projects in the field of conventional and renewable power and district heating generation with a focus on electrical and control technology
  • Independent project management from concept development, definition of technical specifications, component selection, through the implementation phase to safe commissioning
  • Conceptual design and layout of electrical and I&C systems, plant sections and components
  • Monitoring and controlling the planning, installation and commissioning of electrical and I&C systems as well as coordinating internal and external service providers
  • Preparation and review of planning documents, specifications and tender documents
  • Cost controlling and project documentation up to handover to operations and maintenance
  • Carrying out fault analyses and implementing solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency
  • Collaboration in the development and evaluation of energy concepts for sustainable system optimization and further development of the generation portfolio
  • Collaboration with other EVO engineers and specialist departments to ensure project objectives and requirements are met

Your qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies (Master’s or Diploma) in the field of electrical engineering, process control engineering, industrial engineering with a corresponding technical focus or, alternatively, completed technical training in the aforementioned areas with demonstrable specialist knowledge acquired through many years of professional experience
  • Relevant professional experience in the planning, project planning, commissioning and/or operation of electrical and process control systems, ideally in the utility/power plant environment
  • Extensive experience in project management
  • Knowledge of the relevant standards and regulations in the field of electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of waste management and waste incineration, wood pellet production and energy generation from innovative systems is an advantage
  • Experience with relevant software tools for planning and simulation, e.g. MATLAB, AutoCAD, EPlan etc.
  • Familiarity with process control systems and their professional use
  • Confident handling of MS Office products (especially Excel) and experience with SAP (ERP, PM) desirable
