Project engineer (m/f/d) for automation and network management

The network control centre of Netzgesellschaft Potsdam ensures reliable monitoring, control and optimization of the electricity, gas, district heating and water networks and guarantees a secure and sustainable energy supply in the region through modern fault management and data analysis. In the future, the grid will increasingly be operated remotely – this will require your expertise in automation and system integration.
Your tasks
- We are looking for a specialist for the cross-divisional further development and support of the control center and the electricity grid expansion plan
- Project management: As part of the project team, you will implement exciting projects as part of the further development and stabilization of the control center for the electricity division (in the future also across divisions for gas/heat).
- Visualization: You are responsible for the visualization of grid operating systems in the SCADA system in accordance with technical specifications – in particular on the basis of the measures in the electricity grid expansion plan. You will continuously develop the visualization logic and optimize the user interface for efficient operation by the grid control center personnel.
- Further development: As part of the energy and heating transition, you will support projects to expand the electricity grid. You will develop concepts for the control and automation of grid management and make a significant contribution to the standardization and modernization of our control systems.
- Control: You keep an eye on the defined time, cost and quality targets.
- Technical responsibility: You will provide technical guidance to employees at the control center for the electricity division. You will also be responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of training measures.
- Data management: You will support the creation of statistics and analyses as well as decision templates for optimizing the grid and plant portfolio. This requires the migration and continuous maintenance of data in our systems.
Your qualifications
- Education: You have completed a (technical) university degree, preferably in electrical engineering, energy technology, automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science or similar.
- Personality: You work independently and in a goal-oriented manner and have initiative and assertiveness. You are also competent in implementation and ready for change.
- Knowledge: You have a keen interest in electrotechnical topics. In addition, you have already gained experience with process control systems (here SCADA system) and have a switching authorization up to 110 kV (if not, you can acquire this through us).
