Project Engineer (m/f/d) – Technical Assessment & Certification of Power Generation Plants

As an accredited green certification body, we are actively shaping the energy transition – sustainably, reliably and climate-neutrally.
We specialize in the assessment and certification of the electrical properties of power generation plants and storage systems – in accordance with the applicable technical guidelines and standards:
Planning offices
Project developers
Operators of renewable energy systems on the medium, high and extra-high voltage grid

Your tasks

  • Independent technical review and evaluation of submitted documentation for energy generation systems (e.g. wind energy, photovoltaic, storage systems, CHP)
  • Assessment of the systems with regard to applicable guidelines, standards and connection conditions
  • Carrying out and evaluating grid simulations (static and dynamic) to assess the electrical properties in the medium, high and extra-high voltage grid
  • Project coordination with customers, manufacturers, planners and grid operators
  • Preparation and, if necessary, participation in on-site inspections to check that installations comply with guidelines
  • Supporting the further development of internal calculation and testing tools
  • Participation in the quality management system

Your qualifications

  • Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant degree program:
  • Electrical engineering
  • Energy technology
  • Energy systems engineering
  • Or comparable subject areas
  • Various entry opportunities:
  • Suitable for experienced engineers, university graduates or working students
  • Initial practical experience in electrical grids, renewable energies or related areas is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant technical standards and guidelines (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105, 4110, 4120) is desirable
  • Experience in using simulation software, in particular PowerFactory, is an advantage
  • Internships, student research projects or theses in relevant subject areas will strengthen your profile
  • Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Structured and independent way of working
  • Ability to manage projects in a target-, time- and budget-oriented manner
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
