The task of the KEA-BW is to actively participate in climate protection measures in Baden-Württemberg: It supports the state government in promoting the topics of energy saving, rational use of energy and the use of renewable energies. KEA-BW also focuses on sustainable mobility and climate adaptation.

The KEA-BW’s Water and Soil Competence Center provides information, networking and training in the areas of water protection and development, dealing with water extremes, technical flood protection, water education and soil. To this end, it organizes conferences, seminars and training courses for the municipal and state administrations of Baden-Württemberg as well as for associations and organizations.
Your tasks
- Development of an advisory module for municipalities in their function as public water supply providers in Baden-Württemberg in order to meet climate-related and other current challenges.
- Support and collaboration in networking on water shortage issues.
- Co-design of pilot events to advise local authorities and operators of water extraction plants, e.g. with regard to the results of the Baden-Württemberg Water Supply Master Plan and the implementation of the requirements of the Drinking Water Catchment Area Ordinance.
Your qualifications
- A scientific university degree, Dipl.-Ing./M. Sc. in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, environmental engineering, supply engineering or comparable qualifications.
- Good technical and organizational knowledge in the field of water supply (including water extraction and treatment).
- The ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Confident, convincing appearance, ability to speak freely, written and spoken language skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communication skills.
- Clear attitude and motivation for climate protection and sustainable development.
- Professional experience in a municipality, a municipal enterprise or the state administration, ideally in the field of water supply.
