Project Manager Pipeline Construction (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Within the GP division, you will be responsible for the project management of assigned new pipeline construction projects for hydrogen and natural gas. The project management includes the independent control of the general planner with the support of a project controller, the coordination of the specialist functions involved and the monitoring of compliance with the specifications of the client and Manager GP. You report to the head of GPP.
- You will ensure the coordination and initiation of all necessary activities within and outside GUD for the identification, initiation, internal and external approval and realization of the technical measures for the implementation of the corresponding pipeline projects with the aim of handing over the new infrastructure to GO on time. In doing so, you will demonstrate strong and exemplary behavior with regard to our HSE values and compliance requirements.
- Under your leadership, you will be responsible for the pre-planning and coordination of the implementation of the resulting technical measures as well as the implementation and guidance of stringent project management in accordance with specifications and in compliance with time and budget requirements as well as regular reporting to management.
- You will be responsible for managing the new pipeline construction projects transferred to Gate 1 up to RFO in compliance with the budget, quality and time specifications. You will ensure the identification of disruptions, obstructions and corrections in the event of deviations from plan and the timely implementation of the identified mitigation measures in coordination with the manager and client.
- You will actively contribute to the development of strategies for GUD for the sustainable and efficient use of the existing GUD infrastructure, taking into account legal, economic, technical and contractual framework conditions.
- Within the GPP department, you are the contact person for the project vis-à-vis internal and external stakeholders.
Your qualifications
- Completed university degree (technical/commercial)
- Several years of professional experience and many years of experience in project management as well as reliable knowledge of the gas industry value chain including the legal, regulatory and technical framework conditions
- Project management training/certification is desirable
- Sound knowledge of the key business structures and interrelationships within the company
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, ability to grasp things quickly
- Very good communication skills, confident demeanor, high resilience and strong negotiating skills, even in stressful situations
- Business fluent in written and spoken English
- Very good time management and setting the right priorities
- Increased willingness to travel and work
- Leadership skills for employees, ability to work in a team and assertiveness
