H2Global - Shaping the Global Energy Transition
H2Global is a market-based instrument designed to promote the development of sustainable green markets and mobilize private capital for investment in transformative, climate-friendly projects. The first application of this concept focuses on clean hydrogen as a key driver of the global energy transition. At the center of H2Global is the Hydrogen Intermediary Company (Hintco), a trader that bridges the current gap between supply and demand and trades clean, hydrogen-based molecules using the innovative H2Global double auction model. As Hintco's trading activities contribute to the achievement of government climate targets and SDG targets, the company receives support from governments to offset expected losses from trading activities. To date, almost EUR 6 billion has been provided for this purpose by various governments within and outside Europe. To ensure that Hintco acts as an independent market support instrument - separate from governments and industry - an independent non-profit foundation has been established as the sole shareholder. In addition, the H2Global Foundation leads research and global advocacy activities for the H2Global concept.

Project Manager Purchasing/ Lead Auction Manager (f/m/d), full-time at the Hamburg location
Field of activity
Hintco's main activity is trading in hydrogen and its derivatives. The second round of auctions with a total volume of almost EUR 3 billion is currently underway and is attracting a great deal of attention worldwide. By promoting the projects, Hintco is helping to accelerate the cost degression of climate-neutral technologies and thus making a contribution to the fight against climate change.
Your tasks
- Overall project management and coordination of the ongoing (sometimes parallel) award procedures on the purchasing and sales side:
- Main contact person for all fundamental, cross-lot and cross-funding window issues
- Overall planning and dovetailing of the individual projects in terms of preparation, implementation and follow-up
- Stakeholder management and external communication
- Further development of project management methods and resource management: monitoring schedules, milestones, formal requirements, internal and external personnel resources and budgets
- Implementation of quality management processes
- Coordination of the individual lots with the lead project managers
- Organization of service provider tenders
- Identification and processing of cross-cutting issues
- Organizing the transfer of knowledge from completed award procedures to the organization
Your profile
- Degree in engineering or economics or comparable experience
- At least 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field,
- Practical experience and good track record in project management
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in the areas of energy, purchasing, auction or award management is an advantage
- Language skills: English and German (business fluent)
- Motivation to work on and further develop a unique building block of the global energy transition
